About Ellen Jaskol
Up until early 2009, I was a newspaper photographer, with 17 years at the Rocky Mountain News in Denver, and before that I was at the Los Angeles Times. In 2010 and 2011, I've been lucky to travel and work in Afghanistan and Pakistan, photographing schools and projects for the Central Asia Institute, co-founded by Greg Mortenson, who wrote the book "Three Cups of Tea."
I have a great mix of clients who I shoot for: editorial, corporate, hospitals, restaurants, marketing/pr firms, non-profits, families, newborns, seniors, etc., Newspaper life has prepared me for the variety of photography I can offer my clients. Lots of photographers specialize in just one thing, but I just can't bring myself to do that. I like shooting it all, so I do.
I love to collaborate with the people I'm working with, and I encourage an environment where all ideas are welcome. It's my goal to make clients happy. I want them to love their photos, and I will keep working until they do.
Some of the state and national photo awards I've won over the past few years are listed below, including two Pulitzer Prizes and the Rocky's Photographer of the Year in 2008.
I hope you consider me for your next photography job. Feel free to contact me via email at ellenjaskol@gmail.com or call my cell at 303.549.6754.
