Mayor-elect John Hickenlooper changes his tie as he walks from his downtown loft with Lindy Eichenbaum Lent, his campaign press secretary, to the Oxford Hotel, where he is lined up for several early-morning TV and radio interviews the morning after his landslide victory against Don Mares. He wanted to wear the red tie that Lindy is carrying, since his wife Helen Thorpe gave it to him election night as an early father's day present, but since he wore it election night,he decided to wear a different tie.
